Hello, I'm Milan.

I am a Czech Science Foundation Fellow in Astrophysics and a CCAPP Affiliate Fellow at The Ohio State University. I am also a member of CASPER (Computational and Agentic Scientific Practices, Epistemology, and Reasoning). I hold a PhD in astrophysics and a master's degree in theoretical physics. In my research, I integrate LLM agents into citizen science projects and design agentic active learning frameworks for anomaly detection in astronomical datasets. I also study contact binary stars and work on identifying dormant black holes in binaries with luminous companions. Previously, I used numerical methods to study horizons surrounding singular ring sources in general-relativistic spacetimes. Outside academia, I spent several years working in banking and insurance, where I tested and developed predictive models.
